Our Facility

100+ different types of equipment

We offer all kinds of equipment to members for anything they are training for. Whether it’s powerlifting, functional fitness, or just working out, Olympus has what you are looking for within our three different Athlete Zones.

Athlete Zones

Athlete Zones are Olympus’s distinct sectors of our facility, each designed for different athletes.

  • Our main zone. Packed full with a multitude of different machines, free-weights, cardio equipment and more. There’s something here for everyone’s personal program.

  • From custom platforms and Olympic bars to sleds, rigs, and conditioning equipment, this space is designed for both technical lifting and high-intensity, multi-modal training. With direct access to an adjacent outdoor area, athletes can incorporate shuttle runs, carries, and conditioning work in Mother Nature.

  • A dedicated area for those who push their bodies to the absolute max. Olympus offers specialized equipment, including bars, plates, and racks specifically for those testing their true limits.

Powerlifting

Train at a Facility Built for Serious Strength

Step into a true powerlifting environment equipped to meet competition standards and beyond. Our facility is designed for lifters who demand precision, consistency, and performance in every session.

  • Competition-grade combo racks

  • Calibrated kilo plates across multiple platforms

  • Dedicated deadlift platforms

  • Power racks for safe, controlled training and accessory work

  • Competition bars, collars, and specialty bars for accessory work and variations

  • Additional rig space for supplemental and functional training

Led by Experience

Owner Lee Wells is a USA Powerlifting Pro card holder with experience competing at national-level meets and events such as the Arnold Sports Festival.

We are an active registered USA Powerlifting club, home to athletes competing at national, regional, and local levels. Training here means being surrounded by lifters who take progress seriously and push each other forward.

We are also proud to support and sponsor the UNC Charlotte Powerlifting Club, helping develop the next generation of lifters within the Charlotte strength community.

In addition, we are proud sponsors of local and North Carolina state-level USA Powerlifting meets, actively contributing to the growth and strength of the sport in our region.

From first-time competitors to experienced lifters chasing totals, you’ll be part of a community that understands the standard.

The Vote

Built by the People Who Train Here

Most gyms are built for their members.

Olympus LKN is built with them.

Every six months (Jan 4, July 4), our members take part in The Vote - a structured process that directly shapes the future of the facility.

From new equipment and training zones to community events and facility upgrades, the gym’s direction isn’t decided behind closed doors. It’s decided by the people who train here.

A Facility That Evolves With You

Ideas don’t come from a suggestion box that gets ignored. They come from:

  • Conversations on the floor

  • Direct feedback to our coaching staff

  • Member submissions and requests

  • Proven demand from previous voting cycles

Those ideas are refined, prioritized, and put to a vote - ensuring that what gets built reflects what our members actually need to perform at a higher level.

Why It Matters

Most facilities become outdated. Ours improves continuously.

The result is a gym that has evolved into a true hybrid training environment, supporting:

  • Strength athletes

  • Physique-focused members

  • Functional fitness training

  • Sports performance development

Not because we guessed, but because our members demanded it.

Have a say in where you train

If you’re looking for a facility that listens, improves, and is built around people who take training seriously, then it’s time to experience Olympus LKN.
